This Privacy Policy explains how Untitled Photos ("the App") is operated by Garvish Jain ("we", "us", or "our") and how information is handled when you use our iOS application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. This policy applies to users worldwide and is intended to align with Apple's App Store privacy requirements.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information

We do not require users to create an account and we do not directly collect personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses during normal use of the App.

1.2 Contact Information

If you contact us by email or through the App, we may process the information you provide (such as your email address and message content) solely to respond to your inquiry or provide support.

This information:

  • Is used only to handle your request
  • Is not used for marketing
  • Is deleted once it is no longer necessary, unless retention is required by law

Where required by applicable law, this processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to user inquiries or taking steps prior to entering into a contract.

1.3 Photo Library Access

The App requires access to your Photos library to provide organization and cleanup features.

Important:

  • All photo processing happens entirely locally on your device
  • Your photos are NEVER uploaded to our servers
  • Your photos are NEVER transmitted off your device
  • We cannot see, access, or store your photos
  • Photo data is not used for tracking or profiling

The App accesses your photos only when necessary to perform requested features, including but not limited to reviewing and deleting photos.

1.4 Anonymous Analytics

We use PostHog to help us understand how the App is used so that we can improve its functionality and user experience.

The analytics we collect are designed to be anonymous:

  • No names, email addresses, or other personal information are collected
  • Analytics data is not linked to your identity
  • Analytics data is not used for advertising
  • Analytics data is not used for cross-app or cross-site tracking
  • We do not use analytics to build user profiles

The information collected is limited to anonymous usage events and aggregate product insights.

1.5 Crash Reporting

We use Sentry to help identify and fix crashes and technical issues.

Crash reports are designed to be anonymous and are used solely to improve the stability and reliability of the App.

Crash reporting:

  • Is not linked to your identity
  • Is not used for advertising
  • Is not used for tracking
  • Does not include your photos or photo library contents

1.6 Purchase and Subscription Information

We use RevenueCat as a service provider to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.

When you make a purchase:

  • RevenueCat receives purchase and subscription information, such as transaction identifiers, product identifiers, and subscription status, to manage your subscription and entitlements.
  • Payment card details, billing information, and other personal financial data are not collected by us or RevenueCat.
  • All payment processing is handled directly by Apple through the App Store.
  • We do not store payment information on our servers.

2. How We Use Information

We use information solely for:

  • Managing purchases and subscriptions
  • Responding to user inquiries and providing support
  • Improving app security, stability, and reliability
  • Understanding anonymous usage patterns to improve the App

We do not:

  • Sell user data
  • Use data for advertising or marketing
  • Use analytics to identify individual users
  • Share personal data with third parties beyond the services described in this policy

We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.

  • With RevenueCat for purchase validation, subscription management, and entitlement verification
  • With PostHog for anonymous analytics
  • With Sentry for anonymous crash reporting

4. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect information:

  • Communications with our service providers are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS)
  • Photos are processed locally and never transmitted
  • We do not store photos or personal data on our servers
  • RevenueCat implements industry-standard security measures
  • Analytics and crash reporting are limited to anonymous information necessary to improve the App

However, no method of transmission over the internet or system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

Purchase and subscription information is retained by RevenueCat in accordance with its privacy policy and applicable law.

Anonymous analytics and crash reports are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to improve the App and maintain its reliability.

We do not retain payment information or photos on our servers.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request information about our data practices
  • Request deletion or restriction of data (where applicable)
  • Object to certain data processing activities
